UAE Hackathon Concludes its Activities

The activities of UAQ Hackathon, with more than 250 competitors and 52 innovative ideas from various groups, were concluded. Umm Al Quwain University team, "Innovate and Communicate “, was chosen to as one of the best ten projects in Umm Al Quwain.
UAE Hackathon competitions come within the framework of the state's great interest in open data due to its great impact on initiatives, and community engagement in using that open data and benefiting from it in government initiatives to enhance partnership with the government and achieve the society general interest.
Umm Al Quwain Hackathon, hosted by Umm Al Quwain University and Umm Al Quwain Smart Government, has achieved a great number of participants, and received attention of society, institutions, schools, and university students.
UAE Hackathon gives opportunities to hundreds of young people to use open data as a means of innovation, and contribute to promoting the country's economic growth, where young people use the available data to reach practical solutions that contribute to addressing problems, and help build a prosperous future.
Umm Al Quwain Hackathon concluded its activities after two days of introductory training to build the basic skills that participants must possess to find effective solutions, and not feel dread in front of the large amount of available data. Today the winners will be announced after the great competition between 50 teams.   Umm Al Quwain University was represented by eight innovative ideas.
