Collaboration between Umm Al Quwain University and Hungarian Szczecin University

The Hungarian city of Ghor witnessed a meeting between Umm Al Quwain University, headed by Dr.Halal Hatem, President of the University, and Szczecin University, headed by the Vice-President Dr. Ester Lockatch.

The discussions were attended by the deans of the Faculties of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, and the head of Mechanics and Development Department of Audi Vehicle in Hungary. 

The meeting was also attended by Farkash Peter, chief engineer and executive director of the Middle East Engineering Consulting Office. And Dr. Salem Abdullah, consultant of engineering facilities modelling system. 

Dr. Galal Hatem provided a comprehensive description of the activities of Umm Al Quwain University, illustrating its role in the scientific and research fields, and community engagement, to embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain. 

He also spoke about the university’s future perception in launching College of Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology, based on labour market requirements to keep pace with the rapid development in the United Arab Emirates in the fields of software, mechatronics and artificial intelligence.

On the other side, Dr Aster Lukacs introduced Szczecin University and its various colleges and specializations in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She welcomed the idea of joint work with Umm Al Quwain University and expressed her readiness to sign an agreement organizing the exchange of professors and participation in conferences and in the field of scientific research in a way that to enhance the university's position. 

She also expressed the willingness of Szczecin University to provide all technical, scientific and material experiences to support establishing the College of Engineering and Information Technology in the light of the Umm Al-Quwain University Memorandum, as well as its readiness to receive envoys for postgraduate studies in business administration. 

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Galal Hatem gave the shield of Umm Al Quwain University to Szczecin University’s management as a souvenir, and toured the university’s various facilities, laboratories, and offices.
