His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Umm Al Quwain University, stressed the university's keenness to follow the latest of education and scientific research methodologies to support the country with the best educational outcomes that keep pace with global civilization development.

His Highness pointed out the importance of continued efforts to consolidate Umm Al Quwain University’s position in research and academic community, in embodiment of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, which aims to develop an advanced scientific and technical infrastructure that keeps pace with modern developments to promote national minds too highlight the creative and innovative Emirati citizen in and modern technology, and to develop and prepare national cadres capable of promoting the sustainable development process at all levels.

This came during the visit of His Highness, the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Umm Al Quwain University, to the new campus. His Highness was received by Dr. Galal Hatem, Chancellor of Umm Al Quwain University and the university’s academic and administrative members.

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, by members of the administrative and teaching bodies, was briefed on the university’s programs, colleges, scientific and research facilities, the curricula and the teaching staff efficiency, as well as the university’s cooperation with local and international institutions and research centers.

His Highness' tour included the facilities and departments of the university campus, colleges, innovation laboratories and scientific research, some classrooms, in addition to the media studio, which is fully equipped to simulate media studios in specialized institutions.  His Highness viewed the services provided by the university to students and faculty members who contribute in scientific research, leadership and innovation.

His Highness, the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, listened to an explanation from Dr. Galal Hatem, the university chancellor, about a number of the university’s achievements in various fields, which reflect the quality of the learning outcomes at Umm Al Quwain University. During the current academic year, the university has received a large number of new students, to reach 650 in total.

During the past four months, the university was able to obtain the confidence of the Academic Accreditation Commission during the university license renewal team visit and move from low confidence to medium confidence, in addition to obtaining the initial accreditation for the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology to start offering its course in the current semester. The university is also working to Submit a number of new academic programs at the bachelor's and master's levels to the Commission for Academic Accreditation, starting from the end of October until December 2022.

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Umm Al Quwain University, praised the efforts of academic and administrative members in supporting the educational process through student support and continuous follow-up.

For their part, members of the administrative and teaching bodies and university students expressed their pleasure over the visit of His Highness, the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. praising His Highness’ interest and support for education, which is the pillar of construction and development.
