The student team’s participation came with the support of Dr. Hani Bakr, Vice Chancellor of the University, and reflected the collaborative efforts of the College of Arts and Sciences and the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, represented by Dr. Suzan Shaheen and Mr. Maen Al Sati. The participation aimed to promote a culture of innovation and sustainability among students and empower them to develop innovative ideas and solutions serving the environmental and agricultural sectors, in addition to enhancing teamwork and entrepreneurship skills.
The student team included two talented Cybersecurity Program students from the College of Arts and Sciences: student Sheikha Hossam and student Ali Taleb. The students creatively presented their idea, “Bayader,” which aims to bridge the gap between farmers and the local market through the “Bayader” smart mobile application. The project received praise and admiration from both the judging panel and attendees.
