Umm Al Quwain University participated in GCC Traffic Week activities 2024, under the slogan “Driving... without a Phone”, in Al-Ittihad Hall - Umm Al Quwain.

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, stressed the importance of spreading traffic culture, devoting sound traffic behaviours, and unifying efforts aimed at establishing a community culture that covers various aspects of traffic safety.

His Highness pointed out the need to enhance scientific research in the field of traffic awareness and add high quality research on smart driving through artificial intelligence applications.

During the event, students from the College of Mass Communication at Umm Al Quwain University presented a graduation project on safe driving and motorcycles, where they discussed the effective role of Umm Al Quwain Police in raising awareness of the danger of incorrect use of motorcycles and non-compliance with traffic rules, stressing the necessity of continuing traffic awareness campaigns and making them a community culture.

In conclusion, His Highness the Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain honoured the best drivers in various categories, and His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief honoured Umm Al Quwain University as a strategic partner.
