Biography
Dr. Saad Ali Ahmed Ramadan is an Associate Professor of Civil Law at the College of Law at Umm Al Quwain University, where he also serves as the University’s Legal Advisor. He is an Egyptian national and brings with him extensive academic and professional experience in civil law and legal consultancy. Dr. Saad earned his Ph.D. in Civil Law with a specialization in liability law from Mansoura University in 2006, graduating with a “Very Good with Honors” distinction. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Civil Liability Arising from Breach of Confidentiality – A Comparative Study.” Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Mansoura University in 1991 with a “Very Good” grade. He also holds two postgraduate diplomas in Islamic Sharia (1997) and Private Law (1998), which are both considered equivalent to a Master's degree in Law. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Saad has practiced as a legal advisor in the United Arab Emirates and is a Certified International Arbitrator. He has authored several legal books and published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in various areas of law, particularly in civil law and intellectual property law. He is also an active participant in international academic conferences.
