Umm Al-Quwain University has announced the allocation of full and partial scholarship of 50% for first line defense, health care providers and first-degree relatives. The scholarship includes those wishing to obtain bachelor's degrees in any of the academic programs at the university, starting from the first academic semester of the academic year 2020-2021. Dr. Galal Hatem, President of the University, said that The United Arab Emirates has embodied a unique example of confronting Corona pandemic. Umm Al Quwain University has been a major partner in these efforts.

He added that the university has allocated two full scholarships and three partial ones of 50% to the first line of defense, health care providers and their first-degree relatives. This initiative is an embodiment of the UAE’s pioneering role in combating this pandemic, and the university’s mission and partnership with the concerned entities.

Dr. Hatem expressed the university’s pride for presenting this scholarship to the first line defense heroes, from health care providers, in appreciation of their dedication, pointing out that this initiative also explains a major axis of Umm Al Quwain university’s mission in spreading knowledge and awareness through the effective programs, and qualified cadres.
