Biography


Rabeah is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and the Acting Dean of the College of Arts and Science at Umm Al Quwain University. Her academic work centers on applied linguistics, with a particular interest in language education and the interdisciplinary applications of linguistics within higher education. She has published scholarly research in the field and is currently in the final stages of completing a new study addressing contemporary issues in linguistics and pedagogy.

In her administrative role at Umm Al Quwain University, Rabeah has played a pivotal part in advancing the college’s academic mission. Since assuming the position of Acting Dean in February 2021, she has overseen significant developments, including the successful launch of the Sociology and Cybersecurity programs. Under her leadership, the College of Arts and Science continues to play a foundational role within the university by offering general education courses that support all academic programs across various colleges.

Before joining UAQU, Rabeah served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Languages and Translation at the University of Aden, Yemen. There, she also held several key administrative roles—first as Head of the English Department from 2012 to 2014, and later as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs from 2014 to 2019. Throughout her career, she has been an active member of multiple university and college-level committees, contributing meaningfully to academic policy, planning, and institutional development.
