Biography

Dr. Misbah Sadiq is an Assistant professor of Finance at the College of Business Administration at Umm Al Quwain University, and Head of Research and Development Center. Prior to joining UAQU she was Assistant Professor at Al Qasimia University and University of Sharjah, UAE. She earned PhD Degree in Behavioral Finance from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia) in 2015. Her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Zulfikar Ali Bhutto institute of Science and Technology (Pakistan) and National University of Modern Languages (Pakistan).

Her research interests include Investment Efficiency, Behavioral Finance & Economics, Implications of Environmental Innovation for the Firms and Markets, Islamic Finance & Banking, Green Financial Growth & Sustainability. Dr. Misbah has been actively engaged in scientific research and has published number of impactful articles in International Journals & Conferences. She is editor and board member at international Journals of high repute in field. She has performed and completed several research grant and commissioned research projects.

She has taught a number of subjects at the Undergraduate, master and PhD level, in the areas of finance (Islamic and conventional) and economics including: Investment Management, Portfolio Management, Bank Management, Corporate Finance, Islamic Finance and Banking, International Finance, Financial Management, Personal Finance, Behavioral Finance, Quantitative Tools and Decision Making, Money Banking and Financial Institutions etc.

In addition to teaching and research Dr. Misbah is serving industry as financial advisor and consultant in investment and finance. She is a corporate trainer for financial – ERP, including banking.
