Umm Al Quwain University Library is pleased to welcome you through its online page, as a vital knowledge and service center supporting the academic and research journey of the University. The library represents a key pillar in the educational system, as it seeks to provide an integrated knowledge environment that combines modernity and diversity, while meeting the needs of students, faculty members, and researchers.

Our library includes nearly 6,000 titles of printed books and specialized journals covering all academic disciplines offered by the University, making it a rich and diverse source of knowledge. The library is also proud to subscribe to a number of international databases, which serve as an essential resource for digital sources, enabling the University community to access advanced and up-to-date digital content 24/7, both on and off campus.

The library provides a distinguished range of information and research services designed to meet the needs of University students, academics, and researchers. It also opens its doors to members of the external community, allowing visitors from outside the University to benefit from its resources within the campus, thereby enhancing its community role as a cultural and knowledge hub.

At Umm Al Quwain University Library, we are committed to providing a comfortable and quiet atmosphere that encourages reading, learning, and creativity. We continuously work to develop our services and resources so that the library remains a home of knowledge, a source of inspiration, and a hub for effective academic communication.


About the Library

Umm Al Quwain University Library is distinguished by several features, as it opens its doors to all visitors from outside the campus, including students and researchers from other universities, as part of its community service to the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain and the neighboring emirates.

The library has contracted with a number of international publishers to subscribe to global databases, including but not limited to Elsevier, ScienceDirect, JSTOR, EMERALD, Dar Al Mandumah, which covers published Arabic academic production, and Eastlaws, which serves students of the College of Law by providing access to legal judgments and legislation across the Arab world and internationally.

Internal Reading

Comfort and quietness await you in an academic environment, with a collection of printed and digital resources that provide diversity and easy access.

Electronic Catalog Search Service

Umm Al Quwain University Library has an electronic catalog that enables users to access the printed collections and check their availability.

Material Reservation Service

University students and beneficiaries can reserve materials through the library’s electronic catalog.

Guidance and Orientation Service

The library team conducts orientation tours for new students to introduce them to the library’s facilities and help them make the best use of its printed and digital collections.

Selective Dissemination of Information Service

The library creates user interest profiles and shares relevant information when it becomes available.

Current Awareness Service

The library continuously communicates with beneficiaries to keep them informed of the latest updates and new resources.

Library Study Reservation Service

Students can reserve the library study area to ensure the availability of study rooms for meetings and discussions.

Digital Delivery Service

The library sends digital files to faculty members and students directly from the scanner to the beneficiaries’ email addresses.

Textbook Delivery Service

This service facilitates the process of receiving textbooks for students.

Digital Library Services

The library provides a collection of international databases that support students, faculty members, and administrative staff in scientific research and report writing.

Borrowing Service

The library’s printed collections are available to all students, faculty members, and administrative staff, in accordance with specific regulations regarding borrowing periods and the number of books allowed per category.

Photocopying, Printing, and Scanning Service

The library provides photocopying, printing, and scanning services in accordance with applicable regulations, using modern printers and high-quality scanners.

Discussion Room Reservation Service

Umm Al Quwain University Library allows students to use the discussion rooms inside the library for group study and academic meetings, according to the following rules:

  • Reservation is for groups only, with a minimum of 3 beneficiaries and a maximum of 6 beneficiaries. Exceptions may be made for administrative meetings.
  • The discussion room may be reserved for a maximum of one hour per day.
  • Food and drinks are strictly prohibited inside the discussion rooms.
  • Personal belongings must not be left unattended inside the room, as they will be handed over to security.
  • All users must maintain quietness inside the discussion rooms.
  • If a violation is repeated twice, all students present in the room will be denied reservation access for one week.
  • If the violation is repeated again after the suspension period, the student will be prohibited from using the room until the end of the semester.
