Biography


Dr. Omnia Mohamed Ahmed is an Assistant Professor specializing in International Crisis Management, Political Science, and Security Media. She joined Umm Al Quwain University in September 2023, where she currently serves in the Department of Mass Communication and Crisis Management. Her academic and professional expertise lies at the intersection of international relations, crisis response, media strategy, and political science. Dr. Omnia earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Arab Republic of Egypt, with a specific specialization in International Crisis Management. Her multidisciplinary background is reflected in her teaching and research interests, which include political analysis, strategic communication, and crisis policy development. Before joining Umm Al Quwain University, Dr. Omnia held several academic and advisory roles. She served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Mass Communication at the American University in the Emirates. She continues to lecture at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Omnia has contributed significantly to governmental and institutional development. She is an Early Warning Expert affiliated with the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers and served as an expert in the experience exchange project between the Egyptian and UAE Cabinets from 2019 to 2021. From December 2021 to September 2023, she also served as an Institutional Excellence Consultant with the Government of Fujairah. Dr. Omnia was the Editor of Al Rafid magazine, published by the Sharjah Department of Culture, from 2018 until May 2023. She also served as a Training Consultant for the Dubai Government Human Resources Department during 2019–2020, delivering professional development programs on leadership, communication, and policy innovation.
