    Biography


    Dr. Kholod Saleh Huneiti is an Assistant Professor of Mass Communication specializing in media psychology, digital media, and strategic communication, with a research focus on children, youth, and family communication in digital environments. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies (Public Relations and Advertising) from Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus. Her research lies at the intersection of media psychology, consumer behavior, digital media, and family communication, with particular emphasis on how digital environments, media content, and emerging technologies influence children’s development, family decision-making processes, and social behavior, particularly in the Arab region. Dr. Huneiti’s work has been published in SSCI and Scopus-indexed journals and academic books, with international academic publishers including Wiley, Springer, Bloomsbury Academic, and Elsevier. She has presented her research at several international conferences in Europe and North America, addressing topics such as children and media, digital culture, media influence on behavior, and communication in times of crisis. Her recent research focuses on artificial intelligence in communication, digital well-being, and risk communication, particularly in relation to child digital safety, media literacy, and family resilience in complex media environments. In addition to her research, Dr. Huneiti teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in media studies, public relations, advertising, crisis communication, and digital media. Her teaching approach is based on applied and research-informed learning, integrating case studies, real-world media analysis, and practical communication projects to connect academic knowledge with professional practice. She also contributes to community engagement initiatives through public lectures and workshops focusing on media awareness, family communication, and digital well-being. Her broader research agenda focuses on understanding the relationship between media, society, and family life in the Arab region, with a particular interest in children’s agency, media literacy, digital culture, and the social and psychological impact of digital transformation on families and young audiences.
