Biography
Omar Abdallah Al-Zoubi is an Assistant Professor at the College of Mass Communication, Umm Al Quwain University, United Arab Emirates. He is a lecturer, trainer, researcher, and media professional specializing in digital media. He is a member of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate and has extensive academic and professional experience in multimedia media and digital communication.
He holds a Ph.D. in Digital Media from Universiti Utara Malaysia, where he also obtained his Master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism with high distinction. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and media from Yarmouk University, Jordan, with a Very Good classification.
Dr. Al-Zoubi has worked as a trainer at the School of Multimedia and Communication, Universiti Utara Malaysia, where he contributed to developing students’ practical skills in digital media production and content creation. Professionally, he has significant experience in media editing and digital content production, having worked with Al Anbat Newspaper and Al-Wakeel News, among others.
His research focuses on artificial intelligence in media, digital media practices, and the transformation of content production in the digital era. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in Scopus-indexed journals addressing AI applications, ethical challenges in media environments, and social media’s impact on media practices.
Dr. Al-Zoubi is passionate about equipping students with modern technological tools and integrating artificial intelligence into new media education. His work emphasizes innovation, critical thinking, and adapting to the rapidly evolving media landscape.
