Biography
Dr. Nadia Yass Al-Bayati is an Associate Professor of Civil Law at the College of Law, Umm Al Quwain University. She is an Iraqi national with over twelve years of experience in both academia and academic administration. Dr. Al-Bayati earned her Ph.D. in Civil Law from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2013. Her dissertation was titled “Online Electronic Signature and Its Evidentiary Value in UAE Law: A Comparative Study.” She also holds a Master’s degree in Civil Law from the University of Juba, Sudan, awarded in 2009, with a thesis entitled “Compulsory Insurance for Liability Arising from Car Accidents.” Her research interests focus on various aspects of civil law, including contractual obligations, liability for harmful acts, electronic transactions, artificial intelligence legal implications, and environmental liability. Dr. Al-Bayati has authored 24 research papers, 11 of which are indexed in the Scopus database. She has actively participated in numerous international conferences and workshops, and she regularly serves as a peer reviewer for both local and international academic journals. Additionally, she has supervised and evaluated a number of master's and bachelor's theses at various universities.
