The Preparatory Committee for the 3rd Scientific Conference at Umm Al Quwain University held its second meeting, headed by Prof. Galal Hatem, university chancellor, President of the Conference, and in the presence of the committees’ members.
During the meeting, the president of the conference spoke about the importance of UAQU third scientific conference, “Digital Technology from Rooting to Innovation,” which will be held on December 13-14, 2022.
The president highlighted the great role of scientific events and activities in strengthening the university status in the Emirati community, and intensifying the sub-committees’ efforts, especially the university’s media center, in the success of the conference, which coincides with the university’s move to the new campus.
The Chairman of the Conference Scientific Committee, Dr. Hani Bakr, outlined the number of received abstracts, and suggested to extend the period of receiving abstracts to ensure wider participation.
Dr. Mohamed Fayyad, head of the Preparatory Committee, indicated that the papers participating in the 2nd scientific conference were published in the International Journal of Media and Mass Communication, and that the Preparatory Committee is working to provide all facilities for the success of the third conference.
The participants in the meeting agreed that all the conference activities would be held inside the new campus halls, and it was also agreed to extend the period for receiving abstracts until August 15, 2022.
It is noteworthy that Umm Al Quwain University is organizing its third international scientific conference, entitled "Digital Technology from Rooting to Innovation - Higher Education Institutions and the Future of the Arab Labor Market" under the patronage of HH. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.
The conference includes several themes, namely Communication and Media, Business Administration, Legal Studies, as well as Arts and Sciences.
The conference aims to establish advanced rules in building and investing digital technology to serve science and humanity and achieve the highest benefit in promoting sustainable development programs, activating academic programs in higher education institutions and linking them to modern digital technology based on advanced methodological controls, and identifying solid foundations and rules to distinguish digital technology related to serving development programs, development and innovation and opening channels of knowledge exchange between higher education and Arab labor market institutions to determine qualifications and outputs capable of creativity and innovation, as well as publishing specialized scientific studies in the conference themes to expand interest and inspire new ideas that complement the development and innovation project in order to keep pace with the digital revolution.
The university new campus, where the conference will be held, has conference rooms equipped with all means of material and technical logistics. And the process of publishing participating papers will be approved by well-known international digital works. It is expected that several academic and research figures and experts from inside and outside the country will participate in the conference, as the themes has covered accurate and modern scientific proposals that keep pace with the scientific renaissance witnessed by the United Arab Emirates.
