The Sociology Program at Umm Al Quwain University carried out a field visit to the “Reform and Family Guidance Center” in UAQ Court. This visit comes within the program's policy of strengthening communication with local social institutions and enhancing communication between the university and society.

The visit was supervised by Prof. Osama Abdel Bari, Professor of Sociology, and Dr. Ahmed Saqr, Program Coordinator, who presented an overview of the program and its role in serving the local community. The student group was received by Mr. Yousef Al Shehhi, Director of the Center, Ms. Ibtisam Bin Omair and Ms. Mahra Al Alili.

The visit included a comprehensive explanation session about the services provided and executive procedures at the “Reform and Family Guidance Center.” During the visit, an effective dialogue took place between the students and employees at the center, where they exchanged opinions about work methods. The students expressed their desire to have their internship course in such institution.

This visit reflects the serious desire of the Sociology Program to enhance effective interaction with community institutions. The program’s team praised the Center’s cooperation and its willingness to receive students and stimulate fruitful cooperation with the university.
