Health and Safety Department at Umm Al Quwain University and the Representative Office of the Ministry of Health in Umm Al-Quwain Organize an Event for World No Tobacco Day.

In collaboration between the Health and Safety Department at Umm Al-Quwain University and the Representative Office of the Ministry of Health in Umm Al-Quwain, a special event was organized to mark World No Tobacco Day. The event took place on May 28 and included a series of awareness and health activities aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of smoking and ways to quit.

The event began with an awareness lecture by Dr. Badr Azzam, who discussed the severe health risks associated with smoking and its negative impact on the body. The lecture also covered the numerous health benefits of quitting smoking and the available support methods for smokers who would likke to quit.

In addition to the lecture, a series of free medical check-ups were conducted for participants, including blood pressure and blood sugar level measurements. These check-ups were carried out by a specialized medical team from Aster Medical Center in Umm Al-Quwain, who provided personalized health consultations to participants based on their results.

The aim of this event was to spread awareness among community members about the dangers of smoking and to provide support and guidance to smokers who wish to quit. The event witnessed a large turnout from the staff and students of Umm Al-Quwain University, as well as members of the Umm Al-Quwain Women's Association.

At the end of the event, participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts put into organizing this awareness event, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in promoting public health and raising awareness about the dangers of smoking. The organizers also expressed their gratitude to all participating parties, reaffirming their commitment to continuing efforts to enhance health and well-being in the community.
