The College of Mass Communication organizes a panel discussion titled "Sustainable Community" at Ras Al Khaimah Youth Center.

Students enrolled in the Event Planning and Organization course, under the Public Relations program at the College of Mass Communication — Umm Al Quwain University, organized an engaging discussion session titled “A Sustainable Community: Engage, Unite, Empower its Youth”, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Ras Al Khaimah Youth Center.

This event was held in collaboration with the Ras Al Khaimah Police Youth Council and Ras Al Khaimah Youth Center, aiming to promote the values of community engagement, social cohesion, and youth empowerment through a meaningful and dynamic dialogue that brought together a distinguished group of community advocates and initiative leaders.

The session was attended by Dr. Hani Bakr, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Umm Al Quwain University; Professor Haitham Al-Samarrai, Dean of the College of Mass Communication; and Professor Wafaa Tharwat, Professor of Media and Communication and the event supervisor.

The discussion witnessed remarkable engagement from the attendees, as participants explored key social challenges and proposed innovative ideas that contribute to building a more conscious and sustainable community.

The session featured distinguished speakers including:

  • Mr. Jassim Al Dabbal, Director of Youth Centers Department at the Federal Youth Authority.

  • Major Abdullah Al Shumaili from Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters.

  • Engineer Saeeda Hassan Al Haili from Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters.

The event was also honored by the presence of several esteemed officers from Ras Al Khaimah Police, notably:

  • Captain Marwan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Police Youth Council.

  • Captain Ibrahim Al Jirri, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Emirate Youth Council.

  • Alongside a group of representatives from Ras Al Khaimah Police General Headquarters, who enriched the session with their insights and contributions.
