Sheikh Saqr bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Smart Government Department in Umm Al Quwain, attended today the technical workshop organized by the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council in collaboration with Umm Al Quwain University, under the title "AI Prompt Engineering Challenge." The workshop aimed to empower young people with artificial intelligence engineering skills and enhance their competencies in this vital field.
The workshop was part of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council’s programs designed to support young national talents by providing hands-on training experiences aligned with the latest advancements in the world of artificial intelligence. The initiative aims to equip youth with advanced knowledge that contributes to building promising career paths within the digital economy ecosystem.
The workshop commenced with a speech by Mohammed Ali Al Barq, a member of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council, who reaffirmed the Council's commitment to supporting Emirati youth on their journey toward excellence in technical and knowledge-based fields, particularly in artificial intelligence — one of the pillars of the future economy. He also praised the UAE leadership for its unwavering support in empowering youth by providing an inspiring environment that enhances their capabilities and opens doors to innovation and meaningful contribution to building a knowledge-based and sustainable society.
The practical workshop was led by Mr. Shahir Tayfour, a member of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council and Programming Ambassador in the National Program for Programmers. During the session, he covered the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, interaction mechanisms with generative AI models, and explained the different types of outputs generated by these models. The workshop also featured a hands-on training and an interactive challenge, in which participants tested their skills and applied their newly acquired knowledge.
For his part, Sheikh Saqr bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla praised the pioneering role played by Youth Councils in empowering the new generation both academically and technically. He emphasized that such initiatives are a cornerstone in building a generation equipped with the tools of the future. He also highlighted that empowering youth with technological knowledge and familiarizing them with artificial intelligence concepts contributes to achieving digital transformation and reinforcing the UAE’s global standing in innovation and technological advancement. Sheikh Saqr further stressed the importance of Youth Councils as dynamic platforms for exchanging ideas and building national capacities capable of keeping pace with changes and shaping a smarter and more sustainable future.
The workshop was also attended by His Excellency Mohammed Issa Al Kashf, Member of the Federal National Council, Her Excellency Aisha Rashid Al Liteem, Member of the Federal National Council, Dr. Chris Rauch, Chancellor of Umm Al Quwain University, Jassim Al Obaidli, Director of Youth Engagement at the Federal Youth Authority, as well as members of youth councils from across the UAE and members of youth councils from government and academic institutions.
