Umm Al Quwain University Celebrates Emirati Women’s Day.

Umm Al Quwain University, in collaboration with the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council, organized a panel discussion titled “She is Our Pride” to mark Emirati Women’s Day. The event featured a group of inspiring Emirati women who have excelled in various fields and contributed significantly to society, with the participation of students and community members.

The session was opened by Dr. Ibrahim Saif Buosaiba, Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council, who highlighted that Emirati women have proven their presence across all sectors, thanks to the unlimited support of the nation’s wise leadership. He praised their remarkable achievements and their role as key partners in development.

The discussion was moderated by Nouf Mohammed Al Raisi, member of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Council, and included the following speakers:

  • Hessa Khalifa Al Ali, entrepreneur, who shared her journey in establishing her own business and emphasized the role of national support in empowering women economically.
  • Engineer and innovator Mitha Ahmed Al Zarouni, who showcased her unique inventions such as the “Blind Lens” and the “Smart Glove” to support people of determination.
  • Journalist Shaima Rashid Al Shehhi, who highlighted the vital role of Emirati women in media and their contribution to enhancing the image of women locally and internationally.
  • Bushra Mohammed Abdullah, Chair of the Accenture Youth Council, who discussed the importance of youth councils in shaping women’s personalities and enhancing their leadership skills.

The event was also attended by Captain Musafir Abdullah Matar Al Mesafri, Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement at the Umm Al Quwain Community Police Department, along with representatives from government institutions and university students.
