The College of Arts and Sciences at Umm Al Quwain University organized an orientation day for its new students, aiming to introduce them to the college’s programs and the university’s support services.
The event was opened by Dr. Rabia Taleb, Dean of the College, who welcomed the students and emphasized the college’s commitment to supporting their academic and professional journey. Dr. Saada Khudrji delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Cybersecurity program, highlighting its significance in the digital era and its future opportunities, while Dr. Ahmed Saqr outlined the key features of the Sociology program and its academic and societal dimensions.
The session also featured contributions from several faculty members who welcomed the new students and reaffirmed their readiness to provide guidance and support. On the student services side, Ms. Al Anood Al Dhaheri, Head of Student Services, explained the available resources designed to enhance the students’ university experience. Dr. Ali Abbas provided an overview of the services offered by the university library to support research and study, while the IT team presented the technical services that facilitate students’ access to digital systems and resources.
The orientation day concluded with positive engagement from attendees, reflecting the college’s dedication to creating an integrated learning environment that empowers students to confidently embark on their academic journey.
