As part of its commitment to supporting new students and facilitating their integration into university life, the College of Law at Umm Al Quwain University organized an orientation session for its incoming students. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdelghani Qasim, along with several academic and administrative staff members.
Dr. Abdelghani Qasim opened the session with a welcoming speech, expressing his pleasure at the new students joining the college community and emphasizing the importance of studying law in building a society based on justice and the rule of law. He also provided an overview of the college system, the study plan, and office hours, highlighting the importance of adhering to academic regulations to achieve excellence and success.
Mr. Omar Harzallah, the University Registrar, gave a detailed explanation to the new students regarding the registration process and the services offered by the Admissions and Registration Department, helping to streamline their academic journey and facilitate enrollment procedures.
Ms. Alnood Al-Dhaheri, Head of Student Services, presented the various services the university provides to support students throughout their academic journey, emphasizing the value of academic advising, career guidance programs, and other counseling services and student activities that enrich the university experience.
Ms. Maryam Al-Raie from the Information Technology Department provided an overview of the university’s technical services, explaining how students can effectively use the digital systems and online platforms that support learning.
Dr. Ali Abbas, Library Manager, delivered a presentation on library usage and its databases, highlighting its vital role in supporting academic research and providing essential legal resources for students.
The session concluded with active participation from the students, who asked numerous questions related to academic and student services, creating a friendly atmosphere that reflected the College’s dedication to providing a supportive and comprehensive learning environment for its new students.
