Practical Lecture on Investment Arbitration Procedures.

The Master of Arbitration Program at the College of Law, Umm Al Quwain University, in cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Centre for Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration at the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a practical lecture entitled “Investment Arbitration Procedures.” The lecture was delivered by Counselor Ibrahim Shawky Jawhar, Secretary General of the Centre, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Al-Dabbousi, Coordinator of the Master of Arbitration Program.

During the lecture, the speaker presented a comprehensive practical overview of the legal and procedural mechanisms of investment dispute arbitration, including a detailed explanation of drafting investment arbitration clauses and the technical requirements for admissibility of claims. He also reviewed a set of real-life practical models, providing students with valuable insight into professional applications within international arbitration centers.

This lecture comes as part of Umm Al Quwain University’s efforts to strengthen the practical dimension of its academic programs and to provide hands-on training opportunities that contribute to preparing Master of Arbitration students and equipping them with the confidence and skills needed to handle arbitration cases in professional practice.
