The University’s Health and Safety Department organized a training course titled “Fire Prevention and Safety Methods”, aimed at enhancing the practical awareness of staff and students on effective response and safe handling of fire incidents during emergencies, while reducing associated risks.
The course addressed fire risk identification, safe preventive practices, and immediate emergency response procedures, including the proper use of fire extinguishers and organized evacuation processes.
Dr. Thekra Al Naqbi, Head of the University’s Health and Safety Department, emphasized the importance of such training programs in raising awareness of safety procedures and equipping participants with the essential knowledge and skills to deal with fires and apply effective fire-fighting methods.
