The College of Mass Communication at Umm Al Quwain University organized a workshop titled: “When the Image Speaks: The Art of Composition in Digital Photography”, delivered by professional photographer Mustafa Ajjawi, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, via Microsoft Teams.

The workshop focused on the rules of composition in digital photography and their importance in producing professional-quality images. Students were introduced to a selection of distinguished works captured by Ajjawi, and the session witnessed strong engagement through discussions and visual analysis of the presented images.

The workshop was attended by Professor Dr. Haitham Abdulrahman, Dean of the College, who welcomed the photographer and students at the beginning of the session, emphasizing the College’s commitment to organizing practical workshops across various courses due to their positive impact on enhancing students’ practical and applied skills.

The workshop was organized under the supervision of Dr. Omar Al-Zoubi, instructor of the Digital Photography course, with the participation of students from several practical courses, including Social Networks and Blogs, Introduction to Digital Journalism, as well as students from the New Media Graduation Project.
