Umm Al Quwain University Organizes a Scientific Seminar on “Developments in the New Civil Transactions Law Decree 2025”.

As part of its commitment to promoting academic and legal engagement and keeping pace with legislative developments in the United Arab Emirates, the College of Law at Umm Al Quwain University organized a significant scientific seminar titled: “Developments in the New Civil Transactions Law Decree 2025.”

The seminar witnessed strong attendance both in person and online, with participants from civil society institutions, students, and members of the academic and administrative staff. The event was attended by Dr. Hani Bakr, Vice Chancellor of the University, and Dr. Abdulghani Qasim, Dean of the College of Law. The university auditorium was filled to capacity, reflecting the academic significance of the seminar, while the event also recorded notable virtual participation via Microsoft Teams, allowing a wider segment of legal professionals to attend and engage.

The seminar was enriched by a distinguished group of academic experts. It was moderated by Professor Dr. Fouad Al Shuaibi, who presented on “Voluntary Sources of Obligation.” Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan delivered a presentation on “Original and Accessory Real Rights,” while Dr. Nadia Al Bayati addressed “Non-Voluntary Sources of Obligation,” offering in-depth legal perspectives relevant to both practitioners and researchers.

The seminar featured an open discussion session, which generated dynamic and constructive interaction between the presenters and the audience, both in the auditorium and online. These discussions added significant value, as participants exchanged insights on the amendments and developments introduced by the new law, enhancing a deeper understanding of legal texts and their practical applications.
