The ninth edition of the UAE Hackathon 2026 for the emirates of Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah continued for the second consecutive day at Umm Al Quwain University. Organized by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), under the slogan “Creating Impact Beyond Ideas,” and supported by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, the event aims to foster a culture of innovation, develop digital skills, and create innovative solutions that support the UAE’s digital transformation journey.
The second day featured a series of training and interactive sessions focused on developing creative ideas and transforming them into practical, implementable projects and solutions. These sessions aimed to enhance participants’ skills and strengthen their ability to address challenges through innovative approaches.
The first session, titled “Design Thinking – Prototyping and Testing,” focused on methods for developing ideas, designing prototypes, and testing them. The second session, titled “Business Model Canvas – From Idea to Value,” introduced participants to developing innovative business models and transforming ideas into projects that deliver value and sustainable impact.
Umm Al Quwain University’s hosting of these activities reflects its commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthening the integration of academic knowledge with practical application, and empowering young people to use modern technologies and artificial intelligence to develop solutions that contribute to improving government services and enhancing quality of life.
