As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and industry partners, the Sociology Programme at Umm Al Quwain University organized an educational visit on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, for students enrolled in the Sociology of Tourism and Recreation and Anthropology courses to the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain. The visit aimed to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications and raise awareness of the importance of cultural heritage and preserving national identity.

The visit included meetings with specialists to learn about the role of cultural tourism in sustainable development and efforts to preserve heritage. Students also took a field tour of several museums, archaeological sites, and heritage landmarks, enriching their knowledge and enhancing their understanding of the Emirate’s history and cultural heritage.
