Biography
Prof. Ehab Al Rousan is a Professor of Criminal Law with extensive academic, research, and administrative experience in legal education. He obtained his Ph.D. in Criminal Sciences from the University of Tunis El Manar, Republic of Tunisia, in 2008.
Prof. Al Rousan has held several academic and leadership positions at prominent universities across the Arab region, most notably at the American University in the Emirates, where he served as Head of the Public Law Department and Director of the Master of Criminal Sciences Program. He has also actively contributed to academic governance through his membership in numerous institutional committees.
His research interests include criminal law, cybercrime, criminal policy, digital evidence, restorative justice, and the application of artificial intelligence in criminal justice systems. He has published 24 peer-reviewed research papers, including 7 in Scopus-indexed journals, and has supervised a number of master’s theses in criminal law and related fields.
Prof. Al Rousan is an active peer reviewer for several reputable academic journals, including the Judicial Journal of the Institute of Training and Judicial Studies (UAE), the International Law Journal at Qatar University, the Al Ain University Journal of Business and Law, the Ajman University Journal of Legal Studies, and Al-Miyara Journal, College of Imam Malik for Sharia and Law. He has also participated in evaluating academic promotion research at King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
