Biography
Dr. Ahmed Sakr earned his PhD in Sociology from Minia University, Egypt, in 2017, after beginning his academic career as a teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts. He has steadily advanced through academic ranks, attaining the title of Associate Professor in 2025. Since 2022, he has served as the Director of the Sociology Program at Umm Al Quwain University.
Dr. Sakr has published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in international and regional academic journals since 2019, addressing a range of topics including development, planning, youth issues, and small-scale enterprises. He has received several research awards, most notably the Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Science (First Place – Humanities Category, 41st Cycle, 2024), in addition to other recognitions in both Egypt and the UAE.
Alongside his scholarly work, Dr. Sakr is also an accomplished author. His recent published books include:
