Dr. Galal Hatem , President of Umm Al Quwain University, accompanied by a delegation from the University Council and Head of the Education Sector at the Esaad Committee in Dubai Police, Mr. Zakaria Saif Alwan, made an inspection tour today to the new campus at Kaber sector, Al Surra area - Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

The delegation listened to an explanation from the consultant engineer about the progress of work in the buildings of the second phase, which is expected to finish at the end of 2020. The engineer spoke about the current and future stages of the university campus in addition to the operating plan, and he displayed of the site map, emphasizing that the buildings has been designed with the latest architectural methods and international specifications, and equipped with the latest technologies and modern capabilities to create a positive educational environment supported by creativity and innovation.

Dr. Galal Hatem stressed the keenness and interest of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, to make the new campus a distinctive and unprecedented one with a high technological level that reflects the position of Umm Al Quwain University as the first government university in the Northern Emirates.

Dr. Hatem said that the new campus development project that extends over an area of 18,000 square meters, announcing the beginning of the second phase that includes classrooms and laboratories in addition to a huge hall for conferences, graduation ceremonies, and other events, in addition to car parking for 950 cars.  

It should be noted that the first phase included the main building, service and sports facilities, and all entertainment means for students.
