The Sociology Program at the College of Arts and Sciences at Umm Al Quwain University organized an orientation for its new students, aiming to welcome them and introduce them to the program and academic services, and the opportunities to benefit from the program in the UAE labor market.
The meeting was attended by the program faculty members, headed by Dr. Rabaa Taleb, Dean of the College, and Dr. Ahmed Saqr the program coordinator, in addition to the college’s faculty members, Prof. Osama Abdel Bari, Dr. Haitham Al-Taani, Dr. Suzan Shaheen, Dr. Saada Khadraji, and Mr. Maan Al-Sati. The orientation was also attended by, Dr. Ali Abbas, Library Manager at the university, and Mrs. Anoud Al-Dhahri and Ms. Aisha Al-Mansoori, from the Student Support Services at the university.
They all provided students with information about academic tracks, student activities, and academic advising.
During the meeting, the team stressed the importance of this stage in building a successful academic career. It is necessary to make the most of the opportunities available to them at the university. So they will be fully prepared, and armed with the weapon of knowledge, science, and scientific and practical experience when they graduate.
