As part of enhancing the practical aspect and linking theoretical knowledge to professional reality, students of the Arbitration Masters Law at the College of Law at Umm Al Quwain University made a field visit to RAK Mediation and Arbitration Center, and to the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This came based on the directives of the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul Ghani Qasim, who stressed the importance of these visits in enhancing students’ skills and applying what they have learned theoretically.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Al Dabousi, the course instructor, and Dr. Saad Ramadan, Associate Professor at the College. The students listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Ibrahim Jawhar about the work mechanisms at the center and the role of mediation and arbitration in resolving commercial disputes, in addition to reviewing the latest legal developments and challenges facing economic sectors.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Mohammed Musabah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of RAK Chamber, who praised the importance of these visits in qualifying young legal cadres and guiding them towards dealing professionally with commercial arbitration cases.
This visit comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the College of Law at Umm Al Quwain University to enhance the practical aspect of its students and provide them with practical knowledge in the field of commercial arbitration.
