Umm Al Quwain University celebrated the 53rd UAE National Day where it organized a special ceremony on the University campus, reflecting the homeland love and pride in its achievements, and appreciation for the founding fathers.
The celebration included several prominent segments, including a military band show, a parade of classic cars, motorcycles, and horses, with wide student participation from all the university's colleges, who presented shows reflecting the spirit of the union and love for the homeland.
The ceremony was also attended by prominent figures from Umm Al Quwain Police GHQ, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, UAQ Civil Defense, the Ministry of Community Development, and Emirates Red Crescent Center at Umm Al Quwain.
On this occasion Dr. Chris Rauch, UAQU Chancellor, said, “I extend my warmest congratulations to the UAE wise leadership, government, people and residents. I thank our dear students for spreading the spirit of loyalty and pride among the audience, and for their participation in presenting the distinct features of the UAE’s history, heritage and ancient traditions represented by popular gatherings, Arabic coffee and tales of Emirati history, in addition to the participation of colleges that represented the principles of the country’s vision such as tolerance, leadership, creativity and giving. It was a great celebration, in which everyone, regardless of his/her nationality, participated in this great event.” At the end of the celebration, the university Chancellor honoured the participants who contributed to the success of the event, expressing his pride in the role played by the students in highlighting the national identity and promoting the union’s values.
