As part of applying sociological curricula and theories to social reality, sociology students from Umm Al Quwain University visited Abdullah Bin Imran Hospital in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, accompanied by Professor Osama Abdel Bari, Professor of Sociology, who presented his insights on social services as part of the institutional framework of society.
During the visit, Professor Abdel Bari facilitated a fruitful discussion between the students and the hospital management, where they discussed ways to develop social work programs within the hospital. They also proposed a series of suggestions to enhance the integration of medical and social services, contributing to improving the quality of care provided to patients.
The students emphasized that this visit is a valuable practical opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in analyzing social reality and offering practical solutions to societal issues, reflecting the importance of integrating theoretical aspects with field practice in sociological studies.
This visit is part of a series of field activities organized by the Sociology Program to enhance students' understanding of the role of social institutions in serving the community and preparing them to actively engage in social work fields in the future.
