A Bachelor’s degree in Law or any other directly related specialisation from an accredited university recognised by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) – Ministry of Education – United Arab Emirates.
Students holding a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a specialisation related to Law from an accredited institution recognised by the CAA may be exempted based on the evaluation of the College of Law Council and in line with their specialisation.
* Note: Degrees obtained outside the UAE require equivalency from the Ministry of Education.
Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency according to one of the following certificates or their CAA-approved equivalents:

- Students continuing from a Bachelor’s program who graduated less than one year ago.

The Master's in Public Law is delivered according to the credit-hour system adopted by Umm Al Quwain University, which requires students’ on-campus physical attendance and active participation in learning activities. All students follow a full-time study mode.
Umm Al Quwain University – College of Law – awards the Master's in Public Law degree upon successful completion of thirty-three (33) credit hours distributed as follows:
The student prepares a “Master’s Thesis” on a topics of public law, its rules,and issues, written in Arabic, with an English abstract.. A supervisor is appointed from the relevant department, and when appropriate, a co-supervisor may be appointed from outside the College of Law, depending on the thesis topic. Thesis registration is permitted only after successful completion of the mandatory courses (18 credit hours).
